90% of tourists who come to Hanoi will arrange to go to Halong Bay🐲, it is a must-go itinerary. Although my friend recommended staying on the boat for a night, I was afraid it would be too boring and the weather was cloudy, so I chose a day trip. I could also go for a massage when I returned to the city.

Transportation strategy: It is a bit complicated to take the transportation by yourself. It is recommended to buy the itinerary and pick-up first. Otherwise, if you buy a tour in Hanoi, you may be charged an additional 3% handling fee😫

In addition to going to Halong Bay, I can also get off the boat to visit the Surprise Cave 😱 and climb to the top of Hero Island to overlook the entire Halong Bay. There are so many online itineraries, some include city pick-up and some don’t, some don’t include island tickets🎫, or don’t include canoes, you have to look very carefully😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨. There is an additional charge for meals and drinks on board.
