Karakol Mountains are higher than the Sky

My friends and I took a trip to the mountains from Karakol City. Our driver picked us up around 10:30 in the morning, and we drove for about two hours straight into the valley. Along the way we made several stops to enjoy the views, and at one point we climbed up a huge rock to take photos from the top.
As the road led us higher into the mountains it became both exciting and a little scary because we were driving right along the edge of cliffs. Even though it was early September and very hot in the city, up in the mountains the weather was freezing. We even saw snowflakes in the air, though they melted before reaching the ground. The wind was strong and icy, a big contrast from the warm valley below.
On the way we also passed an old, broken brick house that looked very historic and added to the atmosphere. Driving back down was a little easier and faster since we made fewer stops. The road itself was not in good condition with many bumps and stones, so the ride was tiring rather than relaxing.
Still, the scenery was breathtaking, with mountains that truly felt higher than the sky. Despite the rough road, I completely recommend this trip for anyone visiting Karakol. The natural beauty is absolutely worth it.
