Pigeon Valley, a valley visited during a trip to Cappadocia.
It is characterized by small caves carved into the cliffs in various places to raise pigeons.
Pigeons were used in the past to obtain fertilizer and to convey messages, and they are said to have played an important role in this region. Perhaps because of this, just by looking at the pigeon houses located on the cliffs and rocks of the valley, I was able to get a glimpse of the traditions and lifestyle of this region.
Pigeon Valley offers a unique experience with its steep valleys and rocky cliffs. In particular, the Pigeon Valley Observatory offers a panoramic view of the valley behind it, with countless pigeons flying around, and I was amazed by its vastness.
It is much more magnificent than it looks in pictures,
so if you visit Goreme, I recommend you stop by!
