Once an imposing fortress, Ueda Castle is now a popular cherry blossom spot with over 1,000 flowering trees in spring. 🌸

The combination of weeping shidare-zakura and bright white somei yoshino cherry trees set against the castle walls is simply stunning. ✨

During peak bloom, usually around early April, the cherry blossoms are illuminated at night as well!
