
Located in the southwest of Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China, Xiqiao Mountain Scenic Area is one of Guangdong's Four Famous Mountains. A 450-million-year-old extinct volcano, Xiqiao Mountain is the earliest stone tool manufacturing site in prehistoric South my country, where it formed the unique "Xiqiao Mountain Culture" and pioneered the Pearl River Civilization. Along with Emaokou in Huairen, Shanxi, it is listed as one of the two major stone tool manufacturing sites in my country during the Neolithic Age, located in the north and south.
Xiqiao Mountain Scenic Area boasts numerous honors, including National AAAAA-level Tourist Attraction, China National Forest Park, China National Geopark, National Key Scenic Spot, and "Beacon of Pearl River Civilization." It's Foshan's only 5A-rated scenic spot. Besides offering attractions like the Sea of Clouds Lotus Terrace (Nanhai Guanyin Cultural Garden), Wong Tai Sin Sacred Land, Wong Fei-hung Lion Dance and Martial Arts Museum, Baiyun Cave, and Tianhu Park, you can also witness the shadowless kick and lion dance performances featured in Wong Fei-hung's films. In March, you can also admire the peach blossoms, making it a truly worthwhile visit.
