• Mimuroto-ji Temple (三室戸寺) → Known as the “Hydrangea Temple” of Kansai 🌸
• Over 10,000 hydrangeas of 50 varieties are in bloom.

🚆 How to get from Kyoto to Uji

1) By JR Line
• Take the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station (Kyoto Station) → Get off at Uji Station (宇治 Station)
• Travel time: Approximately 20–30 minutes (20 minutes by express train / 30 minutes by local train)
• Fare: ~240 yen

From JR Uji Station → Take a bus or taxi to Mimuroto-ji Temple (approximately 5–10 minutes). Alternatively, it's a 30–35 minute walk. Minutes

2) Keihan Line (convenient if you're in the Gion or Demachiyanagi areas)
• Take the Keihan Main Line from Demachiyanagi Station (出町柳駅) → Head to Chushojima Station (中書島駅)
• Transfer to the Keihan Uji Line → Get off at Mimurodo Station (三室戸駅)
• Travel time: ~35–40 minutes
• Fare: ~310 yen

From Keihan Mimurodo Station → Walk to Mimuroto-ji Temple (approximately 15 minutes) 🚶♀️
