🌄 Morning itinerary
📍 1. Gandan Monastery
Departure time: 08:30 from the hotel
The largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Mongolia, the temple enshrines a 26.5-meter-high bronze statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, which is one of the tallest indoor Buddha statues in the world.
The "wishing column" in the temple is said to bring good luck, and tourists often line up to touch it for blessings.
The square in front of the temple is full of pigeons, which is a classic photo-taking spot.
Tickets: 20,000 MNT (about ¥40)
Pigeon feed: 5,000 MNT/3 bags (about ¥10)
📍 2. Sukhbaatar Square
Time: around 10:00
The central square of Ulaanbaatar is the political and cultural center of Mongolia. Don’t forget to check in and take photos at the center of the city
The square is not big, you can take photos while walking, and walk to the next attraction.
📍 3. Choijin Lama Temple
Time: 11:00 Arrival
Located behind the Blue Sky Building, the building is exquisite and has a typical Tibetan Buddhist style.
The main temple enshrines the 18th-century gilded Sakyamuni Buddha, and the embalmed remains of the monk Baldanchoimbolon are also on display.
The visit takes about 1 hour. There are many restaurants around, and you can have lunch nearby.

☀ Afternoon itinerary
📍 4. Chinggis Khaan National Museum
Time: 13:00 – 15:30
There are 9 floors in total, 8 floors are currently open
Tickets: 45,000 MNT (about ¥90)
Treasures of the town:
🐎 A 13th-century saddle made of real horse teeth, the only one in the world
👑 A 7th-century pure gold crown worn by Bilige Khan
💎 A 3rd-century BC jade plaque buried with the Hun king
📍5. Bogd Khaan Palace Museum
Time: about 15:45 – 16:45
The winter palace of the last Mongolian emperor, with 8,600 exhibits, including royal daily necessities, art collections and animal specimens.
Highlights: The luxurious yurt made of 170 snow leopard skins is unique in the world.
Tickets: 15,000 MNT (about ¥30)
Opposite the museum is the flagship store of the Mongolian cashmere brand "Evseg", which is as famous as GOBI. You can buy cashmere products on the way.
📍 6. Zaisan Memorial
If time permits, you can climb to the top of Zaisan Mountain and overlook the entire Ulaanbaatar city. Dusk is especially suitable for taking pictures.
