In Urumqi city, we visited a large and beautiful museum, detailing the history of the Xinjiang region, and especially the lives and customs of the local minority! 🇨🇳🐫

Inside of the museum are countless artifacts from the days of the Silk Road. Explanations are are detailed in Chinese and English, so foreigners can understand! 🔤

Also, there is a room where dioramas of Uyghur life can be seen, and even some mummies which were recovered are on display! ⚰️

The museum is very interesting and educational, and helps tourists to better understand the history of Xinjiang region. 📜

I hope in 2024 that I can visit Xinjiang, and especially this museum, again! 😄
