Transportation

- By air: Fly to Urumqi, transfer to Altay Airport, and then take a car.
- By train: Take a night train from Urumqi to Beitun City, and then take a taxi.
- By bus: Take a long-distance bus or taxi from Urumqi or Altay.
- By car: Park at the Hemu Village Ticket Office, take a shuttle bus to the Hemu Transfer Center, and then take a shuttle bus to the village; or drive to the Hemu Transfer Center, but you cannot enter the village.

Tickets: CNY 50/person, shuttle bus: CNY 52/person.

- Hemu Old Village: Lively, close to attractions, and you can experience the original style.

Itinerary

- Two-day itinerary: Arrive at Hemu Village on the first day, have lunch and try local food, check in to a homestay in the afternoon, and then go to Hemu Viewing Platform and Hemu Bridge; get up early on the second day to watch the sunrise at Haden Platform, visit nearby attractions in the morning, return for lunch at noon, and go to the birch forest in the afternoon. If time and energy permit, you can ride a horse to Meilifeng.
- Winter itinerary: Watch the sunrise at Haden Viewing Platform, then go skiing at Jikepulin Ski Resort, and experience horse-drawn sleds and snowmobiles. Don't forget to visit the birch forest and Hemu River.

- Hemu Village is at a high altitude, with a changeable climate and a large temperature difference between day and night, so you need to prepare warm clothes.
