✅ Architectural Highlights:
1️⃣ Stop 1: Silk Road Observation Tower (10:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
The iconic building of the Grand Bazaar, this 80-meter-high observation tower offers a panoramic view of Urumqi! It’s best to visit on a clear morning or during sunset. Take a shot from below the tower to capture its grandeur against the blue sky. Entry to the top requires a fee, but you’ll get stunning views of Urumqi.
2️⃣ Stop 2: Erdaoqiao Mosque and Brick Walls
Located between buildings 3 and 4 of the Grand Bazaar, this spot offers a perfect frame for capturing the rich Islamic exotic vibe.
3️⃣ Stop 3: Nang Courtyard
Squat down and capture the Afanti statue giving a thumbs-up through the gaps of the nang bread. Create a "long-distance dialogue" with the rooftop Afanti statue. Highlight the nang bread for a taste of Xinjiang’s essence!
4️⃣ Stop 4: Trendy Nang Coffee
Xinjiang-style nang coffee is highly recommended. The nang bread pairs perfectly with the coffee. Order a cup of sand-brewed coffee (22 RMB/29 RMB) and enjoy the fun of brewing coffee in sand.
5️⃣ Stop 5: Xinjiang Cultural and Creative Store

Roasted bread/nang bread ornaments, nang bread backpacks, skewers/roasted bread magnets, coffee shoulder bags, and more.
✔️ Tips:
❶ The best time for photography is between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Note that Xinjiang’s summer time is 2 hours later than mainland China.
❷ Local friends advise against buying souvenirs or specialty items at the Grand Bazaar, as prices are often double compared to outside.
❸ The Grand Bazaar is ideal for photography and enjoying a cup of coffee.
