Bell Tower

#hellohalloween

The bell tower seen in the image is the Campanile di Curon Venosta Vecchia, also known as the bell tower of the sunken church in Lake Reschen (Reschensee). Located in South Tyrol, Italy, the 14th-century bell tower is the only remaining structure of the old village of Curon, which was submerged in 1950 to create an artificial lake for a hydroelectric dam. The bells were removed from the tower before the village was flooded. In winter, when the lake freezes over, it is possible to walk to the tower.
