Wat Sisaket, Vientiane, Lao PDR
Address - Vientiane City, Lao PDR
Atmosphere/Location - Travel I called a car through the app. It took 10 minutes from the accommodation. Wat Sisaket or Wat Sisaket is the first temple built in Vientiane. The entrance says Wat Satasahassararam. This temple is next to the Phra Kaew Hall.
Inside the temple, there are 2 floors. The outer floor has an old pagoda on the left. Go inside to the inner floor. There will be a hallway surrounding the chapel. Made of cement The structure is still in the original wood.
The outer hall has many Buddha images lined up. There are niches in the hall walls and small Buddha images. Information from the guide who brought tourists said that this temple used to have a hundred thousand Buddha images.
Nowadays, there are only ten thousand left. In the middle of the temple, there is a large church. Inside the church, there are niches in the walls and Buddha images. And there is a large principal Buddha image Some structures are still in the original wood (cannot take pictures inside the church)
Outside the church, the roof structure is still the same. With red edges Inside the temple There are many tourists. Because it is an important temple in Laos, the temple is clean, there are signs telling the story of the temple's history.
The color of the temple's walls is still the original color, making it look fascinating and beautiful. In addition, the edge of the temple wall still has an original ancient library, old but still beautiful with patterns on the walls on all 4 sides. Whoever goes up to this library, be careful because some parts of the wooden floor are starting to collapse.
For those who come to Vientiane, I recommend coming to this temple. Don't miss it.

Average price per person - Foreigners 30,000 kip, Laotians 5,000 kip Open from 08.00-17.00 hrs.

Score - 8/10
