Pha That Luang Vientiane

Pha That Luang Vientiane (ພຣະທາດຫລວງ), also known as the Great Stupa or the World Precious Stupa, is said to have a history spanning thousands of years. It is a highly significant religious site in Vientiane and a central symbol for the Lao people. Besides coming to pray and make wishes, visitors should also admire the exquisite Lao architecture and art.
It is recommended to dress modestly, avoiding shorts above the knee. If you are not dressed appropriately, the temple provides traditional Lao skirts (sin) for visitors to wear.
