Weifang "Bohai Eye" — A Magical Journey Above the Clouds

Spontaneously visited Weifang this weekend to check in at the world's largest axle-less Ferris wheel! Unexpectedly, this coastal city gave me so many surprises. I stayed at the highly cost-effective All Seasons Hotel and am sharing my easy 2-day, 1-night travel guide~
✨ About the hotel: Weifang Binhai New Area All Seasons Hotel
📍 Location: Just navigate to "All Seasons Hotel (Weifang Bohai Eye Branch)". It’s only a 15-minute drive to Happy Sea Beach, and super convenient to get to the "Bohai Eye" Ferris wheel, with taxi starting fare covering the trip.
🏨 Stay experience: The All Seasons' signature minimalist style is very reassuring. The room is compact but clean and tidy, and the bedding is so comfortable you won’t want to get up! The best part is the friendly price, only 300-500 RMB per night even in peak season. Families with kids can book a family room in advance!
🍽️ Nearby food: There’s a fast food restaurant next to the hotel, and a 15-minute walk to the commercial street. I recommend the seafood dumplings at "Binhai Fisherman’s Home" — the mackerel filling is incredibly fresh!
🌈 Must-visit attractions:
1️⃣ "Bohai Eye" Ferris wheel
• The world’s largest axle-less Ferris wheel, 125 meters in diameter! Recommended to visit at dusk for the romantic sunset glow plus Ferris wheel lights.
• Hidden tip: Buy a VIP cabin with champagne and a private viewing platform — perfect for proposals!
2️⃣ Happy Sea Beach
• Much cleaner than expected, great for kids to dig sand and explore the sea, so fun you won’t want to leave.
• Remember to check the tide schedule! At low tide, you can find little crabs and shells.
3️⃣ Binhai City Art Center
• A must-visit for architecture lovers with its white streamlined design, free admission and few crowds.
• The rooftop viewing platform offers panoramic views of the entire bay — perfect photo spot.
📸 Photo guide:
• Shoot looking up under the Ferris wheel (wear light-colored clothes for better photos)
• Heart-shaped shell arrangement on the beach (more special if you arrange it yourself at low tide)

💡 Travel tips:
1. Renting a car is recommended! Attractions are spaced out.
2. Don’t forget sunscreen! The sea breeze in Binhai New Area is strong.
3. Tools for beachcombing are sold near the seaside.
4. Book rooms early in peak season; weekends often sell out.

💰 Cost reference:
• Ferris wheel ticket: 70 RMB per person
• Seafood: about 80 RMB per person to eat until full
Weifang is truly an underrated coastal getaway! Few people, beautiful scenery, low costs — perfect for a spontaneous weekend short trip~
