The Gap-o War Museum, where you can see the Japanese-Korean War and Korea's modern history together

The Gap-o War Museum, where you can see the tragic modern history of Korea, China, and Japan, is located on Yugong Island in Weihai, the easternmost part of China.

You can find traces of our major history, such as the Im-o Incident, the Gapsin Coup, and the Donghak Peasant Movement, and explanations about Kim Ok-gyun, who was the main character of the Gapsin Coup.

You can also see the Beiyang Fleet, which boasted the strongest military force in Asia at the time, and the imperialist footsteps of the Japanese military, so it was very interesting.

You can also rent an audio guide that you can listen to in Korean at the entrance to the museum, and it was even better that all the posts had explanations in Korean.

In fact, from China's perspective, it was a painful history that they were defeated by Japan.

But the attempt to leave these records and artifacts behind as a lesson was quite refreshing.

If you are traveling to Weihai,

I think it would be interesting to stop by at least once.
