I just came back from Weihai and I have nothing to say. This is how I spent my two-day trip. Here are my latest experiences.

I just came back from Weihai. This is how I spent my two-day trip. I’m writing this as a reference for friends who want to go to Weihai in May.

On the first day, we arrived in Weihai and stayed at the Sunshine Hotel near Huancui Tower. Huancuilou Park is just outside the door and there is a commercial street nearby, which is both lively and convenient.

Take a short break and go for a walk, climb up to Huancui Tower to overlook the city scenery, stroll along the commercial street, and have dinner. After eating and drinking, stroll to the beach and go to Xingfumen to see the night view.

The next morning we took a boat to Liugong Island and first took a sightseeing yacht for a cruise on the sea. Seagulls flew by all the way and we could feed them. Not far from getting off the ship is the Beiyang Navy Governor's Office, which recreates the historical scene of a hundred years ago.

Take a sightseeing bus to tour the island, and the first stop is to visit Donghong Fort. We did not get off the sightseeing bus at the second stop, the zoo, but went directly to the Majing Shipyard to visit the submarine. Get off the sightseeing bus and take the cable car to the commanding heights to visit the Qidingshan Fort.

We went down the mountain to the seaside, boarded the Dingyuan ship, and listened to the story of the navy over the past 100 years. Enter the Sino-Japanese War Exhibition Hall, which tells the story of the Beiyang Fleet from its formation to its demise, and touches upon that tragic history that is too painful to look back on.

We boarded the ship and left Liugong Island, and came to Hanlefang near the train station. After enjoying a Korean dinner, we went to the station to take the train and ended our trip to Weihai.
