It’s so beautiful that no one can tell the difference between Northern Europe and Weihai now!

Weihai 3 days and 2 nights laid-back guide! Stay in a sea view room for 2,380 RMB per person, go clam digging, bike riding, and eat seafood—this is what summer should be like!
Who says you have to go to Sanya to see the sea?
Spend 3 days and 2 nights, less than 2,400 RMB per person,
I’m in Weihai—
staying in a guesthouse with a sea view right outside the window,
riding a little electric scooter to catch the sunrise,
squatting on the tidal flats picking crabs,
and enjoying a seafood feast for only 80 RMB per person!
There are no crowded internet-famous spots here,
only the slow, yawn-inducing pace of this coastal small town,
and a relaxed feeling of “life should be like this.”
📍 Itinerary: 3 days and 2 nights · Lazy-friendly version
💰 Total budget: 2,380 RMB/person (excluding long-distance transportation)
⏰ Best time: May to September (water temperature is suitable, seafood is plump)
Day 1: Arrive in Weihai → Hanlefong Night Market → Stay in sea view guesthouse (¥560)
👉 Arrive at Weihai Station/Dashuipo Airport in the afternoon, take a taxi or bus directly to the city center (under ¥20).
Drop off your luggage and head straight to [Hanlefong]—don’t just stroll the night market!
✅ Must-eat: Authentic Korean BBQ (60 RMB per person), spicy stir-fried rice cakes (15 RMB), ginseng chicken soup (38 RMB)
In the evening, enjoy the sea breeze at [Happiness Gate Square], take photos of the night reflections,
stay at a sea view guesthouse near Liugong Island (560 RMB/night, only 280 RMB per person when shared by two!)
Day 2: Coastal road cycling → Torch 8th Street → International Seawater Bathing Beach clam digging (¥120)
👉 Get up early to check in at [Torch 8th Street] “Little Kamakura” intersection, before 9 AM when it’s least crowded!
Rent a double electric scooter (30 RMB/day) and start cycling along the [Coastal Road]:
Starting from Weihai Park, passing Haiyuan Park, Grape Beach, Yuanyao Pier,
with coconut trees, reefs, blue sea, and sky all along the way—every snap looks like a movie scene!
In the afternoon after the tide recedes, rush to [International Seawater Bathing Beach] for clam digging:
Small bucket + small shovel (20 RMB for a set),
dig clams, catch little crabs, pick starfish,
kids can play for 3 hours without looking up!
In the evening, find a food stall at [Yuehai Market]:
Steamed mitten crab 45 RMB, spicy stir-fried sea intestine 38 RMB, draft beer 5 RMB a glass—
80 RMB per person, eat until you can’t walk!
Day 3: Explore Liugong Island → Return trip (¥180)
👉 Take the ferry to [Liugong Island] (ticket + scenic area combo 132 RMB)
Don’t just visit the First Sino-Japanese War Memorial Museum,
go to the east side of the island to the [Whale Museum] to see the sperm whale specimen,
then rent a sightseeing car (20 RMB) to circle the island,
beaches, pine forests, lighthouse—it feels like stepping into an old movie.
Finish before 3 PM and return easily.
✅ Cost breakdown (per person):
Accommodation ¥560 | Food ¥320 | Tickets & transportation ¥200 | Clam digging gear ¥20 | Miscellaneous ¥100
🔥 Total: 2,380 RMB! Still have 200 RMB left to buy dried seafood!
💡 Practical Tips:
1️⃣ Check the “tide table” before clam digging! The best time is 1 hour before low tide. Recommended: “Tide Table Elf” mini program;
2️⃣ Bring sun sleeves and sunglasses for cycling, the UV rays by the sea are “deadly but invisible”;
3️⃣ Don’t rush to cook seafood at the market, weigh and count first to avoid being cheated!

During these 3 days in Weihai,
I learned to “waste time”:
daydreaming, listening to the waves, picking shells, watching fishing boats return to port.
It’s not dazzling, but addictive—
like a glass of ice-cold draft beer,
one sip,
summer comes alive.
If you’re tired of check-in style tourism,
come to Weihai,
and spend two and a half days
turning life into a slow poem.
