Yueliangwan in Wenchang with My Wife & Son 😌

At first glance, Wenchang seems like another normal remote location in Hainan, but when you look deeper you can see that it is an oasis for anyone looking for peace & quiet. Yueliangwan beach is about an hour taxi ride away from Wenchang train station and it where we found ourselves during the second half of our trip in Wenchang. The food there was great, especially the fish. They also specialize in chicken with their signature Wenchang Chicken dish. Yueliangwan is literally in the middle of nowhere, but it’s perfect for some like me. When you get to the water, the coast stretches for as long as the eyes can see. This beach is very different from other beaches in Hainan because the sand is completely flat, leading to a smooth walk on the beach. There are so many different types of little clams, crabs, and shell fish. You can literally see so many people casting nets in the water. The people are also very nice and happy people. You can tell that they really enjoy their lives. We spent hours there collecting shells, admiring the sky, and jumping into the water. If you are taking a long trip around Hainan, definitely take a side quest to Yueliangwan for a day or two. You’ll definitely enjoy yourself! #beachlife #china #hainan #summervacation
