After visiting Shuitong'ao for the second time, I realized:

1. Be sure to go on a sunny day!
On a sunny day, Shuitong'ao has blue sea and blue sky. There are beautiful scenery from every angle and you can take great photos with just any shot.

2. Make sure you have a good strategy! Navigation location: Xiaojiaochen Village.
After parking the car, walk along the road for about 15 minutes and you will see the pavilion. Walking to the left of the pavilion is the classic "MacLehose Trail" Shuitong'ao route (on the road, we also met many people going the other way, going to the beach first and then starting to climb the mountain). I still recommend climbing the mountain first. It feels so good to walk slowly towards the sea.
The whole journey is about 8 kilometers, and it takes 3-4 hours to walk and take photos.
The route is not difficult, but it will be a bit sunny on sunny days, so just wear sunscreen and bring some water.

3. Be sure to take your trash with you!
When I went to Shuitong'ao last year, there were not many people there, and the beach was really as clean as a treasure left by the sea.
This year I went there and saw a lot more garbage along the road, which really made me sad. Therefore, it is recommended to carry garbage bags with you and take them down the mountain to throw away.

Learn the photo-taking poses in advance, as the network is not good on the mountain.

2. If you have enough time, you can drive to Xiaoruo Village to watch the sunset. It’s a perfect trip.

3. Although it is not difficult, it is still a mountain road, so you must wear good walking shoes.
