In the busy life, I always long for a quiet place where my soul can rest. Hearing that Sheye Jilai Homestay in Shitang, Wenling is full of wild luxury charm, I couldn’t wait to go and start a vacation embracing the mountains and sea.

As the car slowly drove into Shitang, the winding coastline and the staggered stone houses came into view, as if I were in a seaside town in Italy, full of poetry and romance. Navigating to "Fifth Season Coffee," I successfully found Sheye Jilai Shitang branch. The place is spacious, consisting of nine buildings: eight guest rooms, one public area, an art hall, and a sea-facing café, all connected yet independent, forming a unique shared community. The yellow-brown stone exterior walls paired with coastal grassland create a clean and tranquil atmosphere that I instantly fell in love with.

During check-in, the butler warmly welcomed me, helped carry my luggage to the room, and thoughtfully introduced the homestay facilities and nearby travel tips. The meticulous service made me feel very warm. I stayed in the standalone villa of Building 1. Upon entering, the wabi-sabi style design was eye-catching, with raw and rugged stone walls perfectly blending with exquisite vintage furniture, combining rustic charm and elegance. The oversized floor-to-ceiling windows brought the boundless sea view fully indoors. Lying on the bed, it felt like I could reach out and touch the sea, and my body and mind were healed by this beautiful scenery. The room was equipped with a dehumidifier, disposable face towels, a Dyson hairdryer, L’Occitane toiletries, a mini fridge (with complimentary drinks and Norwegian imported natural spring water VOSS), and a sterilizing cabinet for cups—truly thoughtful.

The days at the homestay were leisurely and pleasant. In the morning, I naturally woke up to the sound of waves and went to the restaurant for breakfast. The seafood porridge was fresh and delicious, and the Wenling specialty embedded cake gave my taste buds a new experience. During the day, I either swam in the infinity pool, feeling the cool water and warm sunshine, or ran freely on the large lawn, playing with kids using water guns. The lawn has a net barrier, making it safe and reassuring. The nearby popular window café is also a must-visit; ordering a latte and staring at the unbeatable sea view, enjoying a moment of tranquility. In the afternoon, strolling around the homestay, every corner has a unique scene. The landscaping is excellent, with flowers, plants, and trees arranged in an orderly manner. The photo spots at the slope turns are stunning, and the sea of flowers is extremely romantic, as if walking into a fairy tale world. At dusk, sitting on the terrace watching the sunset, the afterglow warming my body was beautiful and comforting.

If you want to explore the surroundings, there are many great places. You can walk to the Couple Rings Viewing Platform, where you can take in the full view of Shitang’s beauty; drive to Jinsha Beach to step in the waves and sunbathe, enjoying the joy of a seaside vacation; the colorful Xiao Ruo Village is also worth a visit, like entering a fairy tale world, perfect for photos and check-ins.
