📍KOTA KINABALU 3D2N – The Malaysia Borneo Getaway You Didn't Know You Needed 🇲🇾🌴

#kotakinabaluguide

If you thought Sabah was just for diving and beaches, think again.

I just did a 3D2N mini escape to Kota Kinabalu, and it turned out to be one of the most aesthetic, adventurous, and totally underrated trips I've had in a while.

Here's what went down👇

🕌 Day 1 — Pink & Blue Mosque Hunt + City Chill
First stop: UMS Pink Mosque – yes, a legit pastel pink mosque inside Universiti Malaysia Sabah. So photogenic, so peaceful, and barely any tourists around.

Next: Blue Mosque (Masjid Bandaraya) – floating over a serene lagoon, this one gives serious Maldives vibes when the water reflects the sky.

Evening: Stroll along Tanjung Aru Beach, grab some coconut ice cream, and catch that golden Borneo sunset.

🏝️ Day 2 — Mirror of the Sky + Seafood Feasting
Woke up early for the magical Sky Mirror at Kuala Penyu — only visible at specific tides. Imagine a glass-like surface reflecting the sky, and you’re standing on clouds.

Back to town for a Sabahan seafood feast — think butter prawns, sambal squid, fresh crabs at local prices. Worth every calorie.

🏔️ Day 3 — Off-roading at the Foot of Mount Kinabalu
Booked a 4WD adventure tour near Kundasang, off the beaten path.

Bumpy dirt roads, misty forest trails, and endless views of Mount Kinabalu — the tallest mountain in Malaysia.

💡 Highlights:
Kota Kinabalu is the perfect short escape that mixes culture, scenery, and soft adventure.
You can go from mosque-hopping to mountain trails within a weekend.
