👏 Launch of the filming of the Wuzhumuqin White Horse documentary
Xiwuzhumuqin Banner is known as the "Hometown of White Horses." The white horse is one of the four famous horses of Inner Mongolia and was once the imperial horse during Genghis Khan’s era. The herders living on the grassland accompany the white horses and sing praises to them during festivals. When visiting Xiwuzhumuqin Banner, you can not only admire the white horses but also ride horses across the grassland, taste horse milk wine, and participate in white horse photography activities.

Xiwuzhumuqin Banner features the typical area of the Xilin Gol Grassland, one of China’s four major grasslands. This grassland is known as the "Paradise Grassland," with well-preserved grassland landscapes that encompass nine major grassland types of Inner Mongolia. Mongol Khan City
Located in the heart of the Xiwuzhumuqin Grassland, about 15 kilometers south of Provincial Road 204 in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner, this scenic area boasts outstanding grassland views and vibrant ethnic culture. The site was built as the Khan City where Genghis Khan held grand ceremonies, featuring over 200 Mongolian yurts and luxurious golden-topped tents. Visitors can stay in yurts, taste authentic Mongolian cuisine, watch song and dance performances at the bonfire square, enjoy wrestling and horse racing on the grassland, and experience horseback riding and off-road vehicles.
Wulan Wutai
Located about 68 kilometers southwest of Balagargole Town in Jiren Gole Town, this scenic spot offers beautiful grassland landscapes and is a Buddhist tourism destination. It features attractions such as the Aobao, Genghis Khan Square, Outer Eight Sitting Tathagata Pagoda, Wutai Temple, and Ecological Park. Major festivals here include Buddhist ceremonies, wrestling, and horse racing, providing rich tourism experiences.
Nomadic Tribe
The viewing station is located 35 kilometers south of Bayan Ula Town in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner. The terrain is flat and the grassland vast, allowing visitors to enjoy the original grassland scenery and nomadic culture, and participate in herding, milking, boiling milk tea, wrestling, and horseback riding.
Culture
Xiwuzhumuqin Banner is known as the "Cradle of Wrestling," "Hometown of Long Tune," "Capital of Ethnic Costumes," and "Source of Nomadic Culture," with profound cultural heritage. Visitors can watch wrestling matches, listen to Mongolian long tune folk songs, and enjoy exhibitions of Mongolian costumes and dances.
Cuisine
We recommend trying Wuzhumuqin lamb! Wuzhumuqin sheep graze naturally on the grassland, feeding on a variety of grasses and drinking natural spring water. Their meat is tender, flavorful, free of gamey taste, and rich in nutrients. Highway 99 is a stunning road deep in the grasslands of Xiwuzhumuqin Banner. Along the route, there is a nomadic cultural landscape belt connecting major scenic spots in the banner, a must-see for self-driving enthusiasts! The highway is divided into three sections:
✔ Upper section: Xilin Gol Thousand-Mile Grassland Scenic Avenue G207 National Road - starting point of Highway 99 - Genghis Khan Lookout Mountain.
