📜 The origin of Jingniang Lake:
Jingniang Lake is located in the northwest of Wu'an, Handan, Hebei Province, at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains. It was originally named "Koushang Reservoir". Its name comes from the folk legend of Emperor Taizu of Song Dynasty, Zhao Kuangyin, "escorting Jingniang for thousands of miles". According to legend, when Zhao Kuangyin was young, he rescued a girl in distress, Zhao Jingniang, and escorted her back to her hometown despite the difficulties. He passed by this place on the way, and later generations admired his chivalry and named this lake "Jingniang Lake".
