The Hankou Orthodox Church is the only one of its kind in Wuhan, with a magical blend of Russian-Byzantine architecture — straight out of a storybook!

Built back in 1885, this place has over 130 years of history, and is made up of a bell tower and the main church hall. Locals also call it the Alexander Nevsky Church.

Location: No. 38 Poyang Street, Jiang’an District, Hankou (very close to Xiananfang and Qingdao Road)
How to Get There
By Metro:
Take Line 2 or 6 → Get off at Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street Station (Exit C)
→ Walk or bike ~1km along Poyang Street
It was closed for years but is now open again, so it’s the perfect time to explore!
