Wuhan Sunrise Spot Guide

1️⃣ Lingbo Gate: A Poetic Encounter of City and Lake Views
Best Spot: Extended section of the East Lake Road boardwalk
As a "secret base" for Wuhan University students, the Lingbo Gate boardwalk is famous for its unique waterfront viewing platform. The best time to take photos is from 5:30–5:50 am in the summer. When the morning mist envelops the boardwalk, it looks as if it is suspended on the lake. It is recommended to wear non-slip shoes. Be aware that there are no guardrails on the boardwalk, so please be careful.

2️⃣ Mount Bafen: A Panoramic Theater Above the Clouds
Summit Route: Ciyun Temple Parking Lot → 15-minute walk to the viewing platform
Wuhan's only natural mountain sunrise viewing spot. At 272m above sea level, you can overlook the Yangtze River and the city skyline. It is recommended to check the weather app in advance. When the rain clears, you may encounter a sea of clouds. There are no shops on the top of the mountain, so you need to bring your own drinking water and mosquito repellent.
