Standing on the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, I finally understood why locals call it “the First Bridge of the Yangtze.”

This double-deck giant connects not just the city’s geography—but its past and future too.

Above me: classic archways and whistling trains. Below: boats drifting past Wuhan’s skyline. At sunset, the whole river glows golden, and the breeze carries stories from both Hankou and Wuchang 🏙️🌅
