Who said that going to Taipei means you have to stay in the city? Did you know that near Taipei, there are still beautiful natural attractions that still have their charm? This time, we will take you to
“Wulai”
👉 How to get there:
There are 2 ways to get to Wulai, which are popular among tourists:
1. Take bus number 849 from Taipei Main Station and get off at Wulai. It will take about 1.5 - 2 hours. ⭐️We recommend this method because you will get to the beginning of the line and sit the whole way.⭐️
2. Take the green line MRT and get off at Xindian Station and take bus number 849. It will take less time, but there is very little chance of getting on the bus.
👉 Opening and closing days and times: Open every day
👉 Review:
1. Wulai is divided into a walking street and a waterfall, which are not too far from each other. There is a tram connecting them, or you can walk (about 1.8 km.)
2. The walking street is not very long. The recommended food when going to Wulai is Khao Lam, fried shrimp, wild boar sausage.
3. The tram fare from the walking street to the waterfall is 50 TWD, but on the day we went, the tram was not in service.
4. If the weather is cold, we recommend trying the hot springs. There are many places that offer hot springs, and the prices may vary.
5. You can't go down to play in Wulai Waterfall. You can only take pictures, and you can find a cafe to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, or you can take the cable car (but we think it's a bit expensive, hehe).
6. Bus No. 849 leaves Wulai every 20 minutes. We recommend that you wait at the bus stop at least 10-15 minutes before the bus departs in order to get on the bus.
