Muye Wushan Homestay in Chongqing: Relaxing at a Secluded B&B on an 800m Cliff

Muye Wushan Homestay is located on the edge of Yingzui Cliff in Group 12, Liuping Village, Jianping Township, Wushan, Chongqing. It sits on a cliff 800m above sea level, backed by verdant mountains and facing the magnificent Wuxia Gorge, like a sky garden embedded in the clouds. It is only a 2-hour high-speed train ride from the main city of Chongqing. After exiting the station, a private car will seamlessly transfer you through the steep mountain roads to this secluded paradise.
It took three years of polishing to complete the B&B. The owner, Lao Liu, combined the grandeur of Machu Picchu in the 15th century with the local culture of Wushan. He used rough stones and logs to construct the building's framework, preserving the memory of the countryside while creating a wild and luxurious aesthetic that "coexists with the cliff".
The bedding is made of high-count cotton to help you fall into a cloud-like dream. The only "shortcoming"? The designer deliberately weakened the gorgeousness of the interior, just to let you rush out the door to embrace the magnificence of the world.
The B&B's "Prunus salicina Restaurant" is inspired by Wushan's specialty, Prunus salicina, and cooks seasonal ingredients from the Three Gorges Reservoir area into poetic dishes. The nine-grid breakfast includes local snacks such as Wushan grilled fish porridge and spicy steamed buns. Dinner requires advance booking. It is recommended to try stir-fried cured meat with alpine wild vegetables and river fresh tofu casserole, served with homemade fruit wine. Every bite is full of Bayu flavors. In the afternoon, you can move to the "Cloud Sea Bar", order a hand-drip coffee and Wushan Prunus salicina cake, lean against the window and look at the misty Goddess Peak, and enjoy the gift of slow time.
Experience healing from the clouds to the secret realm. Sunrise chasing: wait for the first ray of sunlight to penetrate the Goddess Peak on the cloud viewing platform. Cliff Yoga: stretch your body and mind facing the canyon, and breathe in negative oxygen ions. Night tour of Goddess Stream: take a small boat deep into the secret realm, where the Milky Way dances with the lights. Intangible cultural heritage handcrafts: experience Wushan embroidery or bamboo weaving and bring the Three Gorges culture home. Starry sky theater: listen to villagers tell Wushan myths by the bonfire, as if traveling through thousands of years.
"As far as the eye can see, it is the end of the world." Here, time is blown away by the wind of Wuxia, leaving only the sea of clouds, starlight, and inner peace. If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, why not hide in this cliffside utopia, look at the goddess, and wait for a sunset that is in no hurry.
