Stay at Wutai Mountain | A soul-cleansing experience!

I've wanted to visit Wutai Mountain for a long time, and this week I decided to go with my family. Everything went smoothly. I found Jiayueju online and was immediately drawn to it. The name reminded me of a poem by Wang Anshi: "May my six senses be always quiet, my heart like a precious moon reflected in glass." I clicked on the homepage and found that it had just opened, but the few reviews were very detailed and praised the owner. I believe that "the brave enjoy the world first," and the quality and style of this homestay really attracted me.

🏠Room type/layout
The first impression I got when I entered Jiayueju was that it was clean, tidy, and grand. Everything was new, and both the hardware and soft furnishings were elegant and tranquil. From the hotel lobby to the room, every step was a surprise. It felt more like entering a quiet, elegant, and cozy Zen temple than a hotel or homestay.

💫Pros
Located in the Wutai Mountain Scenic Area, it is close to some popular attractions. You can take a bus or scenic area bus and get off at Puan Temple, where the owner will pick you up in their super cool four-wheel drive pickup truck! The basic facilities, such as the hairdryer, kettle, and slippers, are all very good. The next day, the owner upgraded our room because there was a vacancy.

Most room bookings include two breakfasts, and the chef's cooking is delicious! Remember to try it!

💰Average cost
RMB 450–2,000, depending on the season. I recommend the mountain view room with two beds, which costs about RMB 700–800. It may be cheaper in the off-season, and it offers the best value for money.
📝Tips
The owner and her family are from Northeast China, and they showed me what true hospitality is. I felt like I was returning home rather than staying at a hotel. They warmly invited me to drink tea and chat, and they carefully explained how to visit Wutai Mountain. Don't trust those unlicensed tour guides.
