Travel back in time with your bestie to the Zen moments of Nianhuawan in Wuxiđ¸. Change into Hanfu and stroll through the sea of flowers, watch the iron flower show and drone performance at night. Hereâs a 2-day, 1-night slow living guide for youď˝
đĄ Accommodation Recommendation
Nianhuawan Nianhua Inn is located inside the scenic area (Address: No. 68, West Huanshan Road, Mashan). Open the window to see bamboo groves, step outside to the Tang-style Zen town. The host is super thoughtful! They help plan routes, remind you of showtimes, and even gave us a scenic map and cherry blossom postcards. Unlimited entry and exit during your stay, making it super convenient to stroll back to your room after the night shows.
đ Must-Experience Activities
1. Hanfu Immersive Tour: Thereâs a rental shop right at the entrance. My bestie chose a light pink chest-high ruqun, I wore a light blue Song-style Hanfu, and with an oil-paper umbrella, we took amazing photos on Xiangyue Flower Street.
2. Zen Night Walk: Starting at 7:30 PM, there are 5 major night tour routes. The water curtain dance âFive-Petal Blossomâ is at Wudeng Lake Square, and the iron flower show is at Miaoyin Stage (remember to ask the host to reserve front-row seats in advance).
3. Drone Starry Sky Show: At 9:00 PM above Fantian Flower Sea, 300 drones form patterns like lotus flowers and deer. Itâs recommended to watch and capture the full view from the Yunsu Sailboat Dock viewing platform.
đľ Foodie Guide
⢠Zen Food Hall: Must-try vegetarian noodles and cherry blossom snacks (about 50 RMB per person)
⢠Boromido Hotel Buffet: Dinner features Taihuâs âThree Whitesâ fish and crayfish (reservation required)
⢠Luming Tea House: The outdoor tea seats overlook Nianhua Tower. Order the double afternoon tea set and get a Hanfu experience voucher.
đĄ Practical Tips
1. Cherry blossom season from March to April is crowded; itâs recommended to book the âHuajiantangâ room type at the inn with a private courtyard.
2. Big temperature difference at night! The host offers cloak rentals, but bringing your own shawl is more hygienic.
3. The iron flower show is paused on Wednesdays, and daily showtimes may vary. Remember to scan the QR code at the front desk to confirm the latest schedule.
We wore Hanfu from day to night, and the moment the sparks fell really felt like traveling back to the Tang and Song dynastiesď˝ When we returned to the room, we found a calming sachet from the host, and even in our dreams, there was a faint Zen fragrance.
