Wuxi Qingming Bridge Ancient Grand Canal Street

Wuxi Qingming Bridge
The largest extant ancient single-arch stone arch bridge in downtown Wuxi. A landmark building on Nanchang Street. Built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Originally named *Qingning Bridge*. Its simple, sturdy, and symmetrical structure bears witness to the origin of the ancient Grand Canal. Due to the varying terrain on both sides of the bridge, the stone steps on the east and west sides differ. 🐾 National Cultural Relics Protection Site
