| Hongchiba. ◾️Hongchiba Scenic Area is located in Wenfeng Town, northwest of Wuxi County, Chongqing, 84 kilometers away from the county seat. It is a national forest park, a 4A scenic spot, with an altitude of 1800-2500 meters. The average summer temperature is 17 degrees Celsius, making it a paradise for escaping the heat. The forest area covers 150,000 mu, and the grassland area covers 200,000 mu, also known as Wanqing Mountain. It features a karst trough valley flat terrain, with a vast and flat bottom, making it one of the top alpine grasslands in the country.
◾️The natural scenery of Hongchiba is magnificent and beautiful, and the cultural landscape is profound and ancient, praised by experts as the New Zealand of China. It is famous for its "Sea of Flowers in the Clouds, Splendid Grassland" landscape, covering an area of more than 10,000 mu. The main attractions include: Sea of Flowers in the Clouds, Tianzicheng Grassland, Xiliuxi Wetland, Tuancheng Gorge, Shierya Mountain, Resort Area, and other six major areas. There are more than 1,000 species of rare flora and fauna, including yew, alpine rhododendron, red clover, and black bears.
◾️Tianzicheng is located in the central part of Hongchiba, including Tianzicheng Grassland and Yinchangping Grassland, and is one of the main scenic spots of Hongchiba. The temperature here is the lowest in the scenic area. In winter, the snow in Hongchiba lasts for more than 80 days, and the snow thickness in Tianzicheng and Yinchangping can reach 50-80 cm, making it the first snowfield in southern China.
◾️The best place to watch the sunrise in Hongchiba is the eastern part of Tianzicheng Grassland, at the peak of Tianzi at an altitude of about 2500.7 meters. The best place to watch the sunset in Hongchiba is Miaozibao by Xiliuxi, at an altitude of 2076.3 meters.
