🏯 Wuxuan's Secret Realm! The Carved and Gilded Timebook of the Century-Old Horse Caravan Trade Route
Reasons to Visit Guo Songnian Manor: A Living Fossil of Southern Yunnan Architecture! Run your fingers over the weathered window lattices echoing with the sound of camel bells✨
📍Address: Yagang Village, Tongling Town, Wuxuan County, Laibin City, Guangxi (Recommended to drive or hire a car)
🔍 Highlights to See:
1️⃣ Carved Gate Tower
Every wood carving tells a story! Be sure to photograph the "Fu Lu Shou" (Fortune, Prosperity, Longevity) triple relief on the lintel; when sunlight slants across, the relief casts stunning shadows🌄
2️⃣ Hui Ma Corridor
The horseshoe-shaped corridor hides secrets! It was the "natural money detector" for horse caravan goods inspection back in the day, and you can still find horseshoe silver scratch marks on the blue brick floor💎
💡 Fun Fact:
Touch the hexagonal floor tiles in the side room — they conceal an ancient drainage system! During the rainy season, you can witness the "Nine Dragons Spitting Water" spectacle🐉
📸 Photo Tips:
• The west wing at 3 PM! Carved window lattices + climbing ivy = a natural photo frame
• The tea room converted from the stable, backlit pottery jar silhouettes are stunning
🍲 Nearby Eats: Tongling Sour Porridge Fish! Wei Ji Old Shop, an 8-minute drive from the manor, offers a divine combo of sour bamboo shoots and wild swordfish
⚠️ Notes:
• Some wooden stairs are steep, please be careful
• Flash photography is prohibited indoors
• Wear non-slip shoes during the rainy season
