🚌 Itinerary:
▪️Saturday: Shanghai to Nanping (4 hours) - Lunch - Hike from Yunv Peak to Yixiantian (approximately 2 hours) - Dinner - BBQ in the courtyard of the B&B
▪️Sunday: Bamboo Rafting (1.5 hours) - Hike from Song Street to Zhizhi Temple (approximately 1.5 hours) - Lunch - Tea and Chat at a Teahouse - Dinner - Wuyishan North to Shanghai (3 hours)
💁🏻♂️Overall Experience:
🌿 Perfect for relaxing and connecting with nature. The scenery in Wuyishan wasn't as stunning as I'd imagined, but the town itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxed. The most surprising thing was the delicious food in Wuyishan; it's well worth the trip!
🗺️Attractions:
▪️It's recommended to purchase bamboo rafting tickets a week in advance from "Fujian Wuyishan." I bought a two-day bus and bamboo rafting pass. Although the scenic area is free, you'll need to take the bus to visit any of the attractions. ▪️Since we departed on Saturday and returned to Shanghai on Sunday, we only had 1.5 days to visit. We recommend allocating half a day each day to the scenic area. Wuyishan is a vast scenic area with numerous hiking trails, so you can choose one to explore each day.

🏨Accommodation:
We stayed at a wonderful guesthouse, a single-family villa with a spacious yard. It was so relaxing to enjoy stargazing and barbecue at night. The owner was also very friendly and recommended several authentic local restaurants, each of which was a pleasant surprise.
🥘Food: Wuyishan cuisine is a bit like a modified version of Jiangxi cuisine—less spicy but still fresh and appetizing. Every dish was delicious. 😋
🍴Dasanwan Restaurant (Snake Expo Park): My first meal in Wuyishan. The preserved mustard greens and chicken feet, hibiscus flower and egg soup, spicy cat's claw mushroom, floating beef, and stir-fried cauliflower with sea mushroom were all fantastic. I drank three bowls of rice!
🍴Xiandian Farm: A charming restaurant tucked away in a valley. Book a private room in advance. Recommended dishes include the old duck soup, lotus seed stewed egg, and homemade grass jelly honey.
🍴Fuyu Jiaotingli: A unique restaurant renovated from an old house. I had delicious braised red-eye fish, beef kueh, and the signature fried sweet potato vermicelli noodles.
🍴Before leaving, I had a bowl of Wuyishan specialty Zixi noodles. It might seem ordinary, but it was incredibly fragrant. 🍵Yinxi Tea House: Great location, at the foot of the mountain beside the stream, and beautifully decorated. Perfect for spending an afternoon drinking tea and chatting.
