Super detailed 2-day tour guide for Wuyuan! You must come to Huangling to see the autumn drying this fall🍁

Just got back from Wuyuan with my bestie! This place is truly a paradise for photography lovers! White walls and black tiles paired with golden autumn drying scenes, every shot looks like a masterpiece📸 Huangling is really the essence of Wuyuan. I've put together this super detailed travel guide, friends who want to go, save it now~

【Day 1】
📍 Huangling Scenic Area
Address: Huangling Village, Jiangwan Town, Wuyuan County, Shangrao City
Opening Hours: 8:00-20:30 (last entry at 17:30)
Ticket Price: 140 RMB

✨ Experience:
1️⃣ The best time to visit is from September to November, when the autumn drying is most spectacular! Colorful crops are hung on drying racks, making the whole village look like a spilled palette.
2️⃣ Recommended route: Ancient Village Cable Car Upper Station - Embroidery Tower - Yixin Hall - Drying Workshop - Wugui Hall - Autumn Drying Viewing Platform - Huaxi Water Street, about 3 hours on foot.
3️⃣ Be sure to visit the Autumn Drying Viewing Platform! Enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the ancient village. The light from 3 to 5 pm is best for photos.
4️⃣ Huaxi Water Street is especially artistic, with flowing water and antique-style buildings. Be sure to wear Hanfu for photos.

【Day 2】
📍 Jiangwan Scenic Area
📍 Likeng Scenic Area
📍 Xiaoqi Village
These three places are not far from Huangling and can be visited by charter car in one day. Personally, I like Xiaoqi Village the most for its original pastoral scenery and lower commercialization.

🍜 Food Recommendations:
1️⃣ There are farmhouses on Huangling Tianjie Street. Try Wuyuan steamed rice cake, lotus leaf red carp (25 RMB per jin), and Qingming rice cake.
2️⃣ In the county town, "Nongjia Diyilou" is highly recommended. It's very popular, so book in advance! The stinky mandarin fish and steamed pork with rice flour are amazing.
3️⃣ The "Autumn Drying Family" restaurant inside Huangling Scenic Area has scenic seats with views of the entire ancient village.

🚗 Transportation Tips:
1️⃣ Driving is the most convenient. It takes 3 hours from Hangzhou and 4 hours from Hefei.
2️⃣ Take the high-speed train to Wuyuan Station. There is a direct shuttle bus to Huangling (20 RMB per person).
3️⃣ There is a cable car in the scenic area (round trip 120 RMB), or you can hike up the mountain.

🌤️ Useful Tips:
1️⃣ Huangling has a big temperature difference between day and night, so bring a jacket.
2️⃣ To capture morning mist, stay in a guesthouse inside the scenic area and get to the viewing platform before 7 am.
3️⃣ Wear comfortable shoes! The paths are all stone slabs and steps.
4️⃣ Best photo times: 6-8 am and 3-5 pm.
