The Tang Sancai Art Museum hidden in Xingqing Palace Park is not only a treasure trove for understanding Tang Dynasty art, but also a popular check-in spot for more and more people wearing Hanfu and ancient costumes to take photos! Many people will take photos to compare the past and the present. When taking photos, it seems as if they have really traveled through thousands of years and become Tang Dynasty ladies or literati appreciating artifacts and discussing art.
The Tang Sancai Art Museum is located in Nanxun Pavilion in Xingqing Palace Park in Xi'an. The total construction area is 3,200 square meters, of which the exhibition hall space is about 2,000 square meters. This museum focuses on Tang Sancai (three-colored glazed pottery) and vividly presents the daily life and artistic style of the prosperous Tang Dynasty court.
Tang Sancai is a classic representative of Tang Dynasty ceramics. Its production process is extremely complicated, from strict selection of clay materials, hand-molding, to bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing, each procedure requires precise control. The use of glaze, in particular, is hailed as a masterpiece of ingenuity - the glaze flows and blends naturally at high temperatures, forming dreamlike textures and colors, making each piece unique and full of strong artistic tension and historical warmth.
