The Terracotta Army is a world-famous archaeological site located near Xi’an, China. Discovered in 1974, it consists of thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots buried to guard the tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, who ruled in the 3rd century BCE.
Each figure is uniquely crafted with distinct facial features, clothing, and armor, reflecting the emperor’s powerful army. The site is part of the larger Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor and is considered one of the greatest discoveries of the 20th century, offering incredible insight into ancient Chinese history and craftsmanship.
