Guangren Temple is truly healing!

As the only Gelugpa Tibetan Buddhist temple in Xi'an, it combines the solemn grandeur of red walls and golden roofs with the romance of a courtyard full of ginkgo trees and prayer wheels. Every photo looks like a Tibetan-style masterpiece, and you can also enjoy the special butter tea here. It's super convenient to get here from downtown. We've specially organized a photo and check-in route guide to help you explore this "Little Lhasa in the city."

🗺️ Recommended route in photo 2:
① Enter from the main gate (South Gate) of Guangren Temple, first take a panoramic photo of the red walls and golden roof at the entrance, then go to the temple's cultural and creative shop to buy a cup of butter latte or sweet tea to warm up → ② Walk forward through the "Guangren Temple" stone archway and take photos of the prayer wheel corridor → ③ In front of the Hall of Heavenly Kings, take a photo with the Tibetan-style stone lions at the entrance; the four Heavenly Kings statues inside are very impressive → ④ Pass through the Hall of Heavenly Kings and take a panoramic photo of the main hall from the Daxiong Baodian square; the golden roof shines brilliantly in good sunlight → ⑤ To the right of the Daxiong Baodian is the Guanyin Hall; taking photos under the ginkgo trees outside the hall is stunning (best in autumn) → ⑥ Walk behind Guanyin Hall to find the Thousand Buddha Hall, where the thousand Buddha statues inside are solemn and magnificent → ⑦ Climb up to the Sutra Pavilion on the temple’s back hill to overlook the entire temple with its red walls and tiled roofs, offering an excellent view → ⑧ After descending from the Sutra Pavilion, visit the Green Tara Hall, where the prayer flags and mani stones outside create a strong Tibetan atmosphere → ⑨ Exit the Green Tara Hall and go around to the temple’s west side to the Blessing Wall, write down your wishes and take photos as a keepsake → ⑩ Finally, exit from the South Gate; the cultural and creative shop at the entrance offers Tibetan-style pendants or scripture-themed souvenirs as gifts.

💰 Guangren Temple is free to enter, no ticket required, just scan the QR code at the entrance to make a reservation. Drinks and cultural products in the temple shop are self-paid and reasonably priced (butter latte about 25 RMB per cup).

🚕 Taking a taxi from downtown Xi'an to Guangren Temple (South Gate) is very convenient, for example, about 20 RMB from Bell Tower and about 35 RMB from Xi'an North Station. Public transport options include taking Metro Line 2 to Anyuanmen Station, then walking 15 minutes or riding a shared bike for 5 minutes to reach the temple. It is recommended to visit between 9 AM - 11 AM or 3 PM - 5 PM to avoid crowds and get good lighting for photos.

❗ Be sure to set your location to "Xi'an Guangren Temple (South Gate)" and not "Guangren Temple Surrounding Parking Lot." The South Gate is the main entrance, allowing you to start the check-in route directly and avoid detours.
