🌄 Summer is the perfect time to visit Siguniang Mountain! This "Oriental Alps" in Sichuan is absolutely breathtaking! Snow-capped peaks, meadows, alpine lakes... the beauty is simply stunning! Sharing my personally tested 3-day, 2-night road trip itinerary with you~
🚗 3-Day Highlights Itinerary:
Day1:
Chengdu → Maobiliang Viewing Platform (best spot for panoramic views of Siguniang Mountain) → Shuangqiao Valley Scenic Area (with shuttle buses throughout, perfect for lazy travelers)
📌Tips: The Budala Peak in Shuangqiao Valley is super photogenic! Wear bright colors for photos
Day2:
Hiking in Changping Valley (wooden walkways + primeval forest, fit hikers can go all the way to Muluozi) → Horseback riding in Haizi Valley (perfect for Tibetan-style photos)
💡Note: Changping Valley hike takes 7-8 hours round trip, bring snacks and water
Day3:
Explore Siguniang Town (buy Tibetan handicrafts) → Balang Mountain Pass (amazing sea of clouds!) → Return to Chengdu
🏔️ Must-Visit Spots:
1. Shuangqiao Valley Redwood Forest: At 3,840m altitude, turns into a golden fairytale world in autumn
2. Dead Tree Beach in Changping Valley: Film location for "Mural" movie
3. Chaoshanping in Haizi Valley: Best viewpoint for Yaomei Peak
🍲 Food Recommendations:
· Tibetan hotpot (generous portions of yak meat)
· Tsampa bread with butter tea (must eat while hot)
· Wild mushroom stew at the town's famous "Snow Mountain Love" restaurant
⚠️ Practical Tips:
1. Must bring sunscreen! The UV rays are intense at high altitude
2. Avoid showering on the first day to prevent altitude sickness
3. July-August is peak season, book accommodation 2 weeks in advance
4. SUV recommended for self-driving, some roads are bumpy
5. Large temperature difference between day and night, pack a light down jacket
