Xiapu Shijianhai Homestay is located in the heart of Xiapu, known as "China's Most Beautiful Tidal Flats," on the seaside hillside of Dongbi Village, Sansha Town. Shijianhai resembles a white castle growing out of a mountain and sea painting. The location is convenient, just a 5-minute drive from the Dongbi photography spot. From the window, you can see the sunrise and sunset over the East China Sea, with fishing boats weaving through seaweed fields and oyster racks, like a moving oil painting.
The homestay was personally created by a designer couple who returned home after working in Beijing, perfectly blending the traditional Mindong stone house structure with minimalist modern style. The pure white exterior walls contrast with natural wood tones to create a fresh texture. A 270° infinity pool hangs between the sea and sky, making it the best spot to watch the sunset. The public areas display antiques and handmade lanterns collected by the owners, revealing a sense of sophistication in their simplicity.
The homestay features both Chinese and Western restaurants, focusing on locally caught fresh seafood. The Shiguang Western Restaurant has window seats that are the best spots to watch the sunset, with recommended dishes including seafood pasta and Xiapu seaweed pizza. The Chinese restaurant specializes in fresh seafood supplied directly by local fishermen, with authentic and sweet dishes like razor clams, scallion oil snails, and yellow croaker rice cake soup. For a sea view afternoon tea, enjoy jasmine tea paired with local dried fruits while watching the clouds drift by—pure bliss. At night, you can order red wine and enjoy a tipsy stargazing experience on the terrace.
