Nanyang Xiangyan Temple Travel Guide

Overview
Xiangyan Temple, also known as Xiangyan Longevity Temple, is located in Baiya Mountain, Cangfang Town, Xichuan County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. It is one of the four famous temples in Henan Province and a national key cultural relic protection unit. It was built in the second year of the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (714). In history, it was the practice site of Huizhong, the national master of the Tang Suzong and Tang Daizong dynasties. Before ascending the throne, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Li Chen, also shaved his head and hid here for seven years.

Ticket Price: CNY 80 per person
Discount Policy: Children under 1.4 meters, active military personnel, disabled veterans, and seniors over 60 years old can enter for free.

Transportation Guide
Self-driving Route: Depart from Zhengzhou City and arrive via Zhengyao Expressway, Erguang Expressway, Hushan Expressway, etc.; or depart from Nanyang City and arrive via Hushan Expressway, Neideng Expressway, etc.
Public Transportation: You can take a local bus or taxi.

Recommended Travel Routes
1. Half-day Tour:
Arrive at the Xiangyan Temple Scenic Area parking lot at 9:30 am.
Visit Pearl Spring, Tiger Mountain (Huju Pavilion), and the Pagoda Forest.
Have lunch near the scenic area.
Enter Xiangyan Temple at 2 pm and visit Shuangshi Cave.
Return at 4 pm.
2. One-day Tour (including Zuo Chan Valley):
Arrive at the Xiangyan Temple Scenic Area parking lot at 9:30 am.
Visit Xiangyan Temple and the Pagoda Forest.
After lunch, visit Zuo Chan Valley at 1:30 pm.
Return at 4 pm.
3. Two-day Tour (including Taiji Gorge):
Day 1: Same as above, stay at Xiangyuan Hotel at night.
Day 2: Have breakfast at 7:30 am, then visit Taiji Gorge for a day.
