Qian Dawan Ancient Village in Xin County, Henan

Qian Dawan Village was established in the early Qing Dynasty by the Qian family. The existing architectural complex blends Central Plains, Chu culture, and Huizhou-style features. Facing a natural water body to the south, the village is terraced with higher ground in the north and lower in the south, covering approximately 90 acres. It preserves over 300 houses, along with historical relics such as an ancient Ming Dynasty well and the Han Family Ancestral Hall. Most residences feature two- or three-courtyard layouts, constructed with brick-wood structures—blue bricks enclosing adobe, supported by wooden beams, and adorned simply with prominent overhanging eaves. The stone carvings and brick sculptures hold significant artistic value. As a traditional village, Qian Dawan retains a relatively intact ancient village landscape, with clear streams and lush vegetation, combining natural and cultural scenery. It still maintains traditional lifestyles and architectural patterns, making it a popular destination for rural tourism and red culture experiences. It is listed among the third batch of China's Traditional Villages.
