Guilin Yangshuo is always crowded, but Mao'er Mountain is the right way to explore

I used to only know "Guilin's landscape is the best under heaven."
When thinking of Guilin, I only thought of going to Yangshuo.
Accidentally saw Mao'er Mountain in Guilin online, which attracted me, so I took advantage of it being less crowded and less popular now and decisively went!
🚘
Transportation:
Best to drive yourself or join a tour (some parts of Mao'er Mountain require a guide to enter).
Self-driving navigation: Lijiangyuan Resort Hotel or Mao'er Mountain Scenic Area ticket office.
👉🏻 Or take a bus from Guilin North Bus Station to Mao'er Mountain Scenic Area; remember to arrange the return time with the driver in advance.
🏨
Accommodation options: Lijiangyuan Resort Hotel (at the foot of the mountain) or if you want to watch the sunrise, choose the Mao'er Mountain Scientific Research Reception Center on the mountain.

Two-day one-night itinerary reference
Day 1: Hiking route 👉🏻 Take the sightseeing bus from Mao'er Mountain Visitor Center and get off at the foot of Laojie Mountain - Sanjiangyuan - Wildman Lake - Mao'er Mountain Reception Center - South China Peak (both sunrise and sunset are viewed here; if the weather is good, you can see the Milky Way at night).
Many parts of the hiking route are great for photos, but unfortunately, when I went, the weather was about to rain, so I didn’t have much time to stop and take pictures.
Day 2: Zhaoyao Valley - Wonuang Drift (Wonuang Drift really attracted me a lot).
The bamboo forest in Zhaoyao Valley is very suitable for Hanfu photos, 🉑 prepare Hanfu in advance for photos.
📣
1️⃣ The temperature difference on the mountain is big in the morning and evening, remember to bring a jacket or windbreaker.
2️⃣ It’s inconvenient to buy things in the mountain, bring some dry food and snacks.
3️⃣ There are mosquitoes on the hiking route, bring mosquito repellent.
