【Ten thousand
✨ Must experience the slow life
1️⃣ Tie-dye and batik handmade
Make a piece of traditional Bouyei tie-dye at the "Indigo Dyeing Workshop" in Nahui Village! The inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage will teach you how to use Isatis root to dye special patterns, and after drying, you can take away a unique scarf/canvas bag with a full sense of art~ (💰Experience price 50-80 yuan)
2️⃣ Bayintang Ancient Music Live
You must listen to the intangible cultural heritage "Bouyi Bayin Sitting Singing"! The elderly people play thousand-year-old tunes with ox-bone hu and bamboo harp. The lyrics are farming stories sung in Bouyei language. Listening to the whole thing while sitting in a century-old house gives me goose bumps! (🎫 Free, show time 14:00/16:00)
3️⃣ Cycling in the rice fields
Rent a small electric scooter (30 yuan/day) to travel through the peaks and forests, and navigate from "Big Banyan Tree Square" to "Fuzi Field" to "Wanfo Temple". Along the way, you will pass by the clear Nahui River. When the rice waves roll in autumn, it's like you've entered a Hayao Miyazaki animation! Unfortunately, this is the rapeseed field season and the flowering period has passed.
🍜 Nahui on the tip of the tongue
▫️ "Top vegetarian snack": mutton noodles + hot pepper paste + pickled radish, a Guizhou breakfast three-piece set!
▫️ "Huaqi Courtyard": Batik-themed cafe, must order the prickly pear iced Americano, sour and refreshing~
▫️ Buyi chief’s table banquet (book in advance): bacon platter + five-color glutinous rice, and bamboo pole dance by bonfire in the evening!
💡 Tips
▪️ Bayintang performances are held twice a day and may be cancelled in case of rain
▪️ Recommended accommodations are Feng San or Rong Su, where you can see the Bagua field when you open the window
📍Location: Wanfenglin Nahui Village, Xingyi, Guizhou (no tickets)
