Rockin’ Vibes & Epic Views

#chinatravel Keketohai Town (可可托海镇) totally surprised me, in the best way. It’s tucked away in Xinjiang and kind of feels like a quiet mountain town, but with some seriously cool stuff to see. The highlight for me? The old mining pit. Sounds random, but it’s actually super fascinating. It's massive, with layers of stone and crazy history behind it. Kinda felt like I was walking through a movie set.
Beyond that, the whole area is just insanely pretty, think crystal clear rivers, pine-covered mountains, and this peaceful vibe that’s hard to explain. The air feels fresh, the people are chill, and there’s this awesome mix of nature and history everywhere you go.
I also stopped by the national geological park nearby, and the views there? Next level. Total postcard material.
Honestly, if you’re traveling through Xinjiang and want something different (and way less crowded), Keketohai is SO worth a visit. Beautiful, calm, and full of little surprises. Definitely a spot I’ll remember.
