When you come to "Si Si Nan Village", you will find that it retains a strong military village atmosphere. The simple red brick walls and old eaves make you instantly travel back to the street scenes of early Taiwan. Strolling here, in addition to appreciating the contrast between old buildings and modern urban landscapes, you can also discover cultural and creative shops hidden in corners, displaying handicrafts and unique small items that make people stop and appreciate them.
Finally, I chose the well-known "Haoqiu" as the end point of this short trip. I ordered a brunch. Although the meal was simple, it was very textured, especially the bagels, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, paired with a rich spread. Every bite was full of surprises. Sitting by the window, you can see the silhouette of Taipei 101. It is a rare enjoyment to slow down and savor it all.
