Quaint Charm of Taipei

When I visited Taiwan for a trip with friends, I immediately fell in love with the place. It feels like I'm looking at Taiwan through a filter. There's an old world feel even at the center and I've been wanting to come back and experience the feeling again.

We stayed at Ximending, just a few minutes walk away from the train station. The location is perfect for us since it's near the shopping district and there are food options around the area. We tried food that are recommended by our online researches. I loved the braised pork rice, the xiao long baos, and mango shaved ice we tried. We also went to the typical landmarks and tourist spots found in Taipei. My favorite probably is the Elephant Mountain because of the worthy Taipei 101 view but to be honest, I had a hard time climbing the steps to the viewpoints, my legs were sore and painful during the remaining days of our trip.
