Xishuangbanna 4D3N Travel Guide

Before the trip, I thought it would take at least 4 to 5 days to fully enjoy Xishuangbanna. But it turned out that 3 days were enough. Here is my itinerary for your reference:

Day 1

Take a flight the night before and arrive at the hotel at around 11 pm. Then, go to Starlight Night Market. The clothes and slippers here are very affordable. Dai-style clothes are CNY 25 for a set of 5. Various vests and skirts are beautiful and cheap, and they look great in photos. After shopping, go to a nearby night market stall. The pounded chicken feet and grilled fish are super delicious. Highly recommended!

Day 2

Wat Phra That Doi Wao - Manting Park (feed elephants, watch peacocks, and take photos of the sea of flowers) - Thai-style massage - Take photos at Starlight Night Market (If you are confident in your photography skills, just bring your own camera. The makeup in the night market is all the same, and I personally think it is not worth checking in)

Day 3

Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (The park is large, and it will take you most of the day. The sun is very strong, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun) - Have afternoon tea - Ride a sunset roller coaster - Have dinner - Visit the riverside night market - Watch the Mekong River show + release water lanterns

Day 4

Golden Pagoda - Boro Temple - Mangguo Fruit Wholesale Market (The durians here are really delicious. I tried several kinds, and they all tasted great. Worth buying!) - Take a flight back

Restaurants

Yun Jing*Jiang Pan, Coco Thai Garden Restaurant, Xia Wang, Wan Thai, Xiao Yu Dai-style BBQ, Luo Luo Ice House, Bing Bing Liang, Man Fei Long Grilled Chicken, Chonburi

Hotels

InterContinental Xishuangbanna Resort: This hotel is very comfortable, and the park is large enough for a two-hour walk. The hotel offers a variety of special experiences, including Chinese, Western, and Dai restaurants. If you don't want to visit the attractions, staying in the hotel is also very pleasant. The hotel is full of lush plants, and it is a great place to take photos.

Finally, remember to protect yourself from the sun.
