The weather was cool in early autumn. When I went to Xuancheng, there were not many people and it was very quiet. The ancient town was also suitable for rainy weather.
DAY 1:
We set out from Nanjing in the afternoon and arrived in Xuancheng in more than three hours in the evening, so we chose an unpopular ancient street to visit. [Shuidong Old Street] is very original, with many villagers and few commercial shops. I felt the rural life in the old streets of southern Anhui.
I wanted to eat some local specialties in the evening, so I chose [Chen Ji Ningguo Fat Man with Glasses Baba] and [The First Spicy Vermicelli in the Radio Compound], both of which were delicious!
The baba is crispy and the spicy vermicelli is also very flavorful.
Hotel selection: [Hampton by Hilton]. Since I didn’t want to stay in a B&B, I chose a chain hotel with good local reviews. Nothing wrong with it, clean and tidy, a ten-minute drive from the city.
DAY 2
In the morning, we went to our first destination [Moon Bay], the water was very clear! There is a fish scale dam, and cars can pass through the river, which is beautiful. You can drive a section of the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Line along the Moon Bay. The scenery along the way is beautiful, with mountains, rivers, and streams everywhere.
Depart from [Moon Bay] to [Chazhi Ancient Town]. The ticket price for Chazhi is 65 yuan.
I had a meal at the [Chaji Renjia Restaurant] at the entrance of the scenic area. The food was delicious and I recommend it!
Chazhi is very original, quiet, sparsely populated, and has almost no traces of commercialization. I like it very much. I walked almost all of it in 2 hours.
