Exploring the Serenity of Xuchang West Lake Park with a Stay at Atour Hotel

Not far from Atour Hotel lies Xuchang West Lake Park, a gem with a history spanning over 1,800 years, nestled within the city. As I stepped into the park, a clear lake greeted my eyes, its shimmering surface reflecting the willows and ancient pavilions along the shore, resembling a stunning ink painting.

Strolling along the lakeside, a gentle breeze carried the fresh scent of grass and trees. Ducks frolicked joyfully on the water, creating ripples that added a touch of vitality and dynamism to the tranquil scene.

The park is dotted with ancient structures, such as Dexing Pavilion and Furong Pavilion, with their intricate eaves and ornate carvings, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of the past. Walking into these buildings felt like hearing echoes of history and sensing the weight of time. During the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Cao once trained his navy here. Though the clamor of those times has long faded, the profound sense of history still lingers in this land.

Further ahead is a lively recreational area, featuring elephant slides, bumper cars, and an ice-skating rink, filled with laughter and joy. Here, I saw the pure smiles of children and rediscovered the happiness of my own childhood memories.
